Installed these over the weekend. They have Hella yellow laminate, mounted on PIAA bar mounts with basic custom brackets, mounted to a T3 bomber bar. The wiring was pretty simple (it helps that my battery is relocated to the frunk) and everything you need was included. I love it!

Aww yeah! Going to rally your A-Dub? How do you like the bomber bars I've been thinking about getting one for some extra radiator protection/tow hook.

I like the bar, but to install it you have to trim the plastic grill and cut off the factory tow hook loop thing on the bumper bar. And no, no plans to rally it, but the extra lighting is definitely welcome on rainy/foggy nights.

That doesn't sound too bad to me. Most of my factory trim is missing already anyway, especially around the front bumper. This is the shape that the front is in.

Nice. I miss my Hellas, I need to get a set and a bar for the Camry for the dark rides home.

Bend the valance back into roughly the right shape with a rubber mallet/dolly and browse MR2OC for a factory 87-89 front lip. Mine is held on with 3 bolts and roughly 26 zip ties.

Lol, nice. I think I'm going to leave it as is for the moment, though. It's a track rat, and I do plan on rallying it, so chances are that any front lip I add will just get ripped off again. I might make something out of fiberglass once I relocate the radiator to force air into the frunk area and front hub ducting, but I'm not sure yet. I kind of like how ugly it is. It makes is all the more amusing when I thrash Porsches, 'Vettes, and Bimmers at autocross.

I'm thinking about doing this to my Golf. It might look silly but I think it could be badass. I doubt I'd be able to find a bracket though so I'd have to fab something up, which would be fun.

I can't seem to find any images of a Mk7 with rally lights but I'd be shooting to have 2 lights positioned like the outer two on this picture:

Minus the shrouds, just a removable bracket through the grill.

Then I might have to get some proper mud flaps and 16" Sparco wheels to complete the setup.

Way back in the day, when racing teams still used sign painters, they would paint the sponsors on the car bumper. Then they would paint it again on the rally-spec appendages that got bolted here and there. The logic was the stuff & things would eventually get knocked off, but the sponsors would still pay.

A lip held on with 26 Zip-ties is sacrificial in exactly the right way.

I really want to get a set of rectangular amber fog lights for my AW11 and mount them below the bumper on either side of the radiator opening, but I should probably focus on getting the thing running right first haha

What's yours doing/not doing? The 4AGE is pretty bulletproof and most problems that arise are pretty simple and either the result of the TPS and AFM being 30 years old or a vacuum leak.

Well I swapped in a 20v blacktop into it, so the engine actually runs great. the problem is an overheating issue, I'm fairly certain the radiator is clogged and badly corroded. The original motor was badly neglected by the previous owner and the cooling system was full of all sorts of crap. I just need to pull it and take it to a radiator shop or just buy a new one.

Yep, it's probably just clogged. The other alternative is that it could be air pockets forming in the lines near the fuel pump, so it might just need to be bled again. The blacktops don't include a bleeder at the thermostat like the 16v ones do.

If you suspect a clog somewhere, run water each pipe that runs from the engine bay to the front of the car, and the radiator itself separately. Check this out for how to flush the coolant.

Btw, how sturdy is that bomber bar? Have you tried using it as a jacking point?

You probably could but no, my lip is in the way. I always jack the car up from the sides or rear motor mount.
